In early 2019, Cooler Master introduced a new series of flat keyboards: The full-sized keyboard Cooler Master SK 650 and the tenkeyless keyboard (without numpad) Cooler Master SK630.
Mechanical Keyboard with Cherry MX Low Profile
Both keyboards feature Cherry MX Low Profile Red, these are flat switches with linear characteristics. They are placed on an aluminum top panel and equipped with RGB lighting, so that the keyboard can be illuminated in colorful ways. A basic configuration of lighting and macros is possible directly via keyboard shortcuts, software is not required, but it enables more advanced configuration options.
Gaming or Work?
Thanks to n-key-rollover, both the SK650 and the SK630 can recognize inputs reliably, even if many keys are pressed at once. Also the polling rate of 1000 Hz is as high as it gets for USB 2.0. So while the SK650 / SK630 could technically be used for gaming, it seems the design raises some questions. Some editors enjoyed playing games with the keyboard while others see it better fit for work than for gaming. There is one conclusion though, that can be found in almost every review: The keyboard is a bit unusual and not for everyone, so better make sure you like typing on it, before you buy it.

"This keyboard looks great and would be at home on a minimalist work station, it's great to type on once you get used to the key spacing and work around the comfortability issues. We recommend trying it to make sure your typing style is compatible before you buy as if it isn't you will need to purchase a wrist rest."
