Corsair K65 Plus Wireless

The Corsair K65 Plus Wireless is a wireless mechanical gaming keyboard. Several years ago, that fact alone would have been enough to make an impact, since wireless mechanical keyboards were rare back then. Nowadays the markets have evolved and there are many brands offering wireless capabilities. Corsair is well aware of that and therefore walks an extra mile with the K65 Plus Wireless to stand out from the crowd: The keyboard offers hot-swapping and is highly customizable.

The keyboard can be connected either by 2.4 GHz wireless (with the included USB dongle) or via Bluetooth. Of course, you can also plug in the USB cable and operate the keyboard in tethered mode. The cable is also used for charging the included battery with 4200 mAh capacity. According to the manufacturer, one charge of the battery will last up to 266 hours when lighting is turned off. For the rest, you basically get everything you would expect from a modern gaming keyboard. This includes, among other things, full n-key rollover, windows lock, RGB lighting, four on-board profiles, possible remapping of keys and countless configuration options.

Keyboard with 75% Form Factor and High Customizability

The Corsair K65 Plus Wireless features a 75% form factor. This means that arrow and navigation keys are available, but compared to a tenkeyless keyboard, the keys are arranged closer together in order to make the keyboard smaller. There is also a small multimedia dial which can be used for various commands like for example turning the volume up or down. The keyboard features Corsair’s own MLX Red switches, they come in a hot-swappable way, i.e., you can simply pull them out with the included switch puller. Any other hot-swappable 5-pin switches can be used as replacement. Moreover, even the keyboard’s case can easily be opened to undertake modifications or repairs.

The K65 Plus Wireless is Corsair’s first hot-swappable keyboard

Overall, the keyboard offers a high degree of customizability. But you might not even need all of it since the Corsair K65 Plus Wireless already offers great support for both Windows and Mac. The keycaps are dual-printed with Windows and Mac OS commands and a simple switch on the back allows switching between Windows and Mac mode. Moreover, there is also software support for gaming consoles like Xbox or PlayStation.
