The Logitech Pro X TKL Rapid is a mechanical gaming keyboard released in 2024. For developing the Pro series hardware, Logitech brings in athletes from the e-sports community and incorporates their feedback into development. The highlight of the Pro X TKL Rapid: It offers magnetic analog switches and thus flexibly configurable actuation points.
First Logitech Keyboard with Magnetic Switches
With the Logitech Pro X TKL Rapid, Logitech is now for the first time taking the step from purely mechanical switches to magnetic analog switches. These switches offer the advantage of flexible configuration and promise lower susceptibility to errors. It is also possible to configure additional actions for a single keystroke and make their execution dependent on how far the key was pressed.
Also other manufacturers have been offering optical or magnetic switches as an alternative to purely mechanical switches for quite some time. Some well-known representatives are, for example, the SteelSeries Apex Pro or the Razer Huntsman series.
Pro X TKL Rapid requires a wired connection
Looking at names and release dates, you might assume that the Logitech Pro X TKL Rapid is an upgrade in every aspect to the previous model, the Logitech Pro X TKL. However, this is not entirely the case, because the older Logitech Pro X TKL offered support for wireless connections via 2.4 GHz wireless or Bluetooth. The new Pro X TKL Rapid, on the other hand, must always remain connected to the cable. Many other features though remained the same. Also, the overall design has not changed and the available color options are black, white and pink.
