Keyboard for Work

In most cases, the best keyboard for work is probably a mechanical keyboard. Mechanical switches offer a unique feeling that no other keyboard type can provide. Moreover, since there is almost no wear-off, the typing experience is just like on the first day, even after years of intensive use.

Since mechanical keyboards are typically a bit louder than common membrane keyboards, it’s better to avoid clicky switches in shared offices. Linear switches or tactile switches without acoustic feedback are the better choice there (see mechanical switches guide).
