Corsair K70 RGB TKL

Corsair K70 RGB TKL

The Corsair K70 RGB TKL is a compact mechanical keyboard packed with many features. It is available since April 2021.

Keyboard for Professional Gaming and More

The keyboard was built from ground up for competitive players. In this context, the keyboard’s polling rate of 8,000 Hz is advertised, it therefore doubles the already high polling rate of the Corsair K100 RGB. You might ask, if this really makes a difference or if it is rather a marketing gimmick. In everyday play, you surely won’t notice it. However, at tournament level, milliseconds sometimes change the outcome of a game, so it seems natural to optimize for the fastest possible response time. Be that as it may, it definitely won’t hurt to have it.

The Corsair K70 RGB TKL is provided with a detachable USB-C cable which comes in handy when transporting the keyboard. Also the novel tournament switch is useful, it deactivates macros (which are usually forbidden in tournaments) and changes the lighting to a static color. In normal mode, the keyboard profits from all the customization possibilities of the iCUE software, offering per-key RGB lighting, key remaps and more. The box contents include the USB cable, a keycap puller and structured keycaps for FPS and MOBA games.

While the keyboard is clearly optimized towards gaming, it also offers features convenient in everyday life. The Corsair K70 RGB TKL has dedicated media keys to control playback, a mute button and a volume wheel. Furthermore, if features durable double-shot PBT keycaps.

Corsair K70 RGB TKL vs K70 RGB MK.2

The keyboard is a compact successor of the popular K70 RGB MK.2. The new tenkeyless version drops the numpad, but introduces a detachable cable, tournament mode and PBT keycaps. Moreover, there are some small differences regarding the available switches: The K70 RGB TKL features linear Cherry MX Red, Cherry MX Red Silent or Cherry MX Speed. The K70 RGB MK.2 however, is also available with tactile Cherry MX Brown or Cherry MX Blue.

Corsair K70 RGB TKL OPX

In June 2022, another version of the keyboard has been announced: The new Corsair K70 RGB TKL OPX features optical Corsair OPX switches. All other features of the keyboard stay the same as in the standard version.
