Corsair was established in 1994 in California. The company initially developed memory modules, it was particularly well-known for their DRAM memory. Over the years, they expanded their range of products a lot. Nowadays, Corsair sells CPU coolers, fans, keyboards, headsets, mice, streaming gear and other PC components. Corsair maintains a partnership with German switch manufacturer Cherry. As a consequence, most of Corsair’s mechanical keyboards feature Cherry MX switches. An extensive configuration of Corsair’s products can be done via the iCUE software (Corsair Utility Engine). The iCUE game integration creates dynamic RGB lighting effects, reacting to in-game events.
