The Razer BlackWidow Elite is a mechanical gaming keyboard that was introduced in fall 2018.
Gaming Keyboard with RGB Illumination and On-The-Fly Macros
The BlackWidow Elite is not the cheapest of all keyboards, but it is therefore packed with lots of features. The keyboard has cable routing, dedicated media controls including a volume dial and an USB- and audio passthrough to connect devices via your keyboard.
To make a great and carefree gaming experience, the keyboard supports 10-key rollover, 1000 Hz polling and a gaming mode to disable the windows key. Macros can be programmed on-the-fly via the FN key and can therefore be rapidly created or changed even while gaming.
The Razer BlackWidow Elite supports full RGB lighting just as any other keyboard of the Chroma series. The lighting of each key can be individually adjusted and there are many different lighting effects available. Three new effects were just newly introduced with the BlackWidow Elite, for example the “audio meter” effect, which lets keyboard light up according to the audio level.
BlackWidow Elite Switches
There are three switch choices available for the BlackWidow Elite: The tactile and clicky Razer Green switches, the tactile Razer Orange switches without audible feedback and the linear Razer Yellow switches without audible feedback. The Razer switches received an update with the introduction of the BlackWidow Elite, they now feature two side walls for greater stability and better protection against dust and liquids. Razer promises a lifespan of 80 million keystrokes.
